One of the bigger slates of games with 12 games spread throughout the day on Saturday starting at 1230pm EST! Vegas/Colorado at 3pm is the featured game at Lake Tahoe, for the first of two outdoor games this weekend. Two big rivalry games in the North Division with the Leafs/Habs and the Oilers/Flames.
Scenario #1 – Teams that are playing each other in back to back games, in which the home team loses the first game, the record of the home team in the second game is 29-14! Detroit, Arizona and Anaheim fit the system tonight.
Scenario #2 – Teams playing back to back road games on consecutive nights tend to go under the total in the 2nd game. So far that trend is 11-12 when teams play on the road back to back nights. Florida/Detroit and Edmonton/Calgary fit the system tonight.
Scenario #3 - One last angle I am tracking that is slightly profitable and similar to Scenario #1, is when any team loses the first game of a back to back against the same team, regardless if it’s on the road or at home, those teams are 40-26 in that situation. Arizona, SJ, Anaheim and Calgary fit this system tonight.

Gamenotes for today/tonight –
Buffalo/NJ – 1230pm start – Sabres have struggled off the two week break, losing three in a row while the Devils have won three in a row.
NYR/Caps – 1230pm start – NYR finally snapped their 4 game losing streak but the Rangers are still underachieving in a big way this year.
Vegas/Colorado – 3pm start – Outdoor game, total set at 5.5. It will be interesting to see how the ice is as this could be a high scoring game with these two potent line-ups.
Florida/Detroit – 5pm start – Can the Wings rebound at home after a horrible outing last night?
TB/Carolina – Canes played Friday night against Chicago while TB rested. Both teams battling for first place, first game head to head was a 1-0 Canes win in OT>
LA/Arizona – Kings won the first one in this series in a shootout, lets see if the Yotes rebound tonight.
NYI/Pitt – Pens lost their first game at home to the Caps last time out, Pens won the last two head to head match ups with the Isles.
SJ/STL – It seems like the Sharks only play on the road having played 13 of their 15 games on the road so far. Blues have won 2 of the 3 meetings head to head this season.
Leafs/Habs – Montreal has been off for a week! Leafs have won 2 of the 3 meetings this season.
Preds/Jackets – Preds are just dreadful this year, even worse on the road but they have won 2 of the 3 meetings this season against Columbus.
Flames/Oilers – Can the Flames bounce back from a tight loss last night?
Wild/Ducks – Minny have won 2 of the 3 meetings head to head this season, all 3 games have gone under the total of 5.5.
