Well...Sellers will have to wait until tomorrow, since I can't get off the phone regarding the Julien situation.

Claude Julien took the Canadiens a LONG way in his tenure, and in my opinion, had them ahead of schedule this year...but he is gone. And there are definitive reasons per some people close to the team...The Habs lost 3 of 4 to Ottawa. Their power play was brutal. They have lost 6 of their last 7. Eric Engels noted all of this in his Sportsnet article last night and said Julien's job was in jeopardy..

But Claude Julien has huge support around the NHL, and already sources tell me that the NY Rangers would love to talk to him. One source tells me it will be "Up to Julien how quickly he returns to a head coaching job.."

The Penguins have claimed D-man Mark Friedman off of waivers. Hextall drafted Friedman and has always been one of his biggest supporters. The Penguins have to keep him at the NHL level or try and pass him back through waivers..at which time the Flyers could essentially get him back...

More fodder for the Battle of Pennsylvania...

The NHL Deadline Sellers Blog IS Coming..hopefully as early as tonight!

Stay Tuned
