Poll: Which MassMutual East Division Team Will Barely Miss the Playoffs?

Hello All,

We are just about past the 1/3 of the way through the regular season and I wanted to take a look at the MassMutual East Division Standings. With the top of the division pretty loaded with five contenders and only four that can make the playoffs, there is going to be one competitive team on the outside looking in when the dust settles at the end of the season.

Here are the current standings based on total points:

For today’s poll, I did not include New Jersey, New York, or Buffalo. While the Devils and Rangers have potential to be in the mix, I do not believe over the longevity of a division-only schedule these two squads will be able to keep pace when it is all said and done. I really like what both franchises are doing right now. They are loaded with tons of young talent that will drive them to the playoffs in the future, just not this year.
