Happy Sunday folks.
Tomorrow is the launch of the Trade Rumor Chart, so I apologize for the short blogs as I put the finishing touches on the chart. This chart is among the toughest ever for obvious reasons...Quarantine rules, flat caps, expansion drafts coming....Its beyond time for me to install more RAM into my brain!
But here are some quick hits...
Leafs target Rickard Rakell
Rickard Rakell is an odd player. He has struggled like crazy for a few years, but he has decided to get VERY hot at the best possible time. The Leafs want a "middle 6 guy" and they are also poking around with Buffalo about Eric Staal. Those two teams always make great partners...
Flyers/Predators keep talking...
The Flyers are in their normal mid-season slump and if/how they escape this is always an interesting story...were this a normal season this would be known as the Flyers "December woes." I spotted Nashville's assistant GM at the Wells Fargo Center this week and it word is the Preds keep scouting Nolan Patrick. Ekholm for Patrick and a First appears to be out there...
Calling all Sabres Readers!
We have heard your thoughts and you need more Sabres content. EVERY day. We Agree.
We are in the midst of re-organizing our Sabres content and we will be bringing on up to two new Sabres writers in the near future. Mark Pino will be switching to doing a Sabres Podcast with myself and other Sabres guests.
We are currently talking to a few experienced Sabres writers about coming on board, but as we have done in the past with other cities that have crazed fans to the level of Buffalo, we are also looking to discover the Next Great Writer here. We did this in Montreal previously and we ended up finding Eric Engels, and the rest is history.
So I am officially putting out the call to action.
Do you fancy yourself to have an interesting opinion on the Buffalo Sabres? Do you want to be read by the most Sabres fans of any independent hockey website on the planet? Then now is the time. Submit your articles to
[email protected] and put "Sabres Writer" in the subject. I will post the best of the stories I receive and allow the fanbase to eventually vote for their favorite new writer to take over.
What we look for at hockeybuzz are "voices" with hockey knowledge who aren't afraid to put their opinion out there. Hockey news can be read anywhere, we want or readers to want to come here for YOUR opinions on what's happening now!
So get your submissions in!
