Ek's Notes...First Contestant in the NEXT GREAT SABRES BLOGGER has been posted. Check it out: Here> Contestant #1 Hank

If you want to submit an article for consideration send it eklund AT hockeybuzz.com. and put "Sabres Blog" in the email subject. If you sent one in over the weekend feel free to send it again. My email was down for a bit due to me reaching storage capacity. All is working well now! I will be posting what I feel are the writers with the most potential for your perusal. Let us know what you think. be kind. be fair.

For now, I will be covering this fascinating team on a daily basis for the great Sabres fanbase. Too much happening to not have daily updates.

+++++

Ralph Krueger is in trouble. Talking to people in Buffalo, no one will admit this, but the bottom line is this team is not just bad. They are lost. Krueger has not only lost this team, he has abandoned them. Ok, while that may be a bit extreme, the reality is staring the organization in the face.

The players aren't responding and if there is a plan in Krueger's madness...it feels like he should probably tell someone. The Skinner situation is some "big secret" but at this point inexcusable... You are barely playing the guy and you can't score...

Will Adams make a move? Can Adams make a move?

Ownership obviously loves Krueger...so did I when he was hired. I covered him closely in the World Cup of Hockey, for Team Europe and I was completely impressed...However, his methods were much better suited for a tournament than they are for a long-term plan. The hiring of Kevyn Adams was very surprising, and now the questions as to whether or not Adams or Krueger is running this disaster is legit.

If Adams can fire Krueger, why hasn't he? How can this be allowed to continue otherwise?

The Sabres need to break this cycle in a big way and there aren;t many coaches who have the kind of personality and garner the kind of respect that is needed to end this death spiral and start utilizing the talent that IS ACTUALLY there.

Gerard Gallant is available...for now.

Gallant is a master at this EXACT situation. Not giving that a shot right now is inexcusable.

The Sabres need to back up the truck for him. He won't be cheap. This is a huge opportunity.

What say you?
