There is little doubt that the Staal trade to Montreal has accelerated talk surrounding Taylor Hall tonight. While this may be true, it doesn't mean that Buffalo is going to be quick on the trigger or that they will accept less...

By every account, Taylor Hall has had a terrible season, and yet it will take at least a number one and a prospect who is "NHL ready" next year to even start the conversation.

At this point, the one team that I keep hearing Has gotten the furthest to this point is the St. Louis Blues.

Edmonton, Calgary, and the Islanders are all expected to get in, but the pricetag, as well as the fact that Hall has a NMC, itells me this is likely to drag into the weekend....if not longer...
