The San Jose Sharks were involved in a three-team trade today, sending forward Stefan Noesen to the Toronto Maple Leafs, in exchange for a fourth-round pick in this year’s NHL Draft. The Sharks also retained about $1.4 million of forward Nick Foligno’s cap hit, who was dealt to Toronto from the Columbus Blue Jackets as part of the deal.

Noesen played in only five games with the Sharks this season but also played 12 games with the AHL’s San Jose Barracuda. The 28-year-old forward is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

This is the second trade the Sharks have made leading up to the deadline, after sending goaltender Devan Dubnyk to the Colorado Avalanche yesterday.
