Next up for the Wild are the Ducks for the final two regular season games at the XCEL Energy Center. Kaapo Kahkonen gets the start tonight and Cam Talbot will be in goal tomorrow.

Anaheim is playing out the string obviously, but that does not mean it will be an easy 2 points for the Wild either night. More importantly for Minnesota is the determination to play the game the right way in all three zones and in every situation. They are gearing up for the playoffs and it is very important that they do not cut corners or fall into bad habits or complacency.

Dean Evason has been doing a fantastic job of keeping his team engaged, knowing when to push their buttons and when to lay back and give the boys their space. It isbnever easy playing teams that have seemingly nothing to play for in the standings, but that does not mean they are just going through the motions. Jon's are being played for and contracts as well.

Kevin Fiala, who missed Wednesday's game vs. Vegas with a lower body injury, will be a game time decision. It will be interesting to see how Evason works the lineup over the last four games.

What may be more intriguing is do we see Matt Boldy suit up for a game prior before the 56-game season wraps up in St. Louis on Thursday night. It of course all depends on the cap situation, but Boldy will almost certainly be up and available for the playoffs, so is there a plan to get him into a game prior to the playoffs beginning.

It is an exciting time here in the State of Hockey and the Wild are making things most interesting...

It's always Hockey Day in The State of Hockey!
