Parise A Healthy Scratch Again

Zach Parise has been relegated to the fourth line over the last third of the season and now he finds himself out of the lineup altogether.

Is this the end of the line for the hometown hero in Minnesota?

When Parise is on the ice he seems to be working hard and battling but something is missing. It appears to be mostly wasted energy from a guy that expects to play a much bigger role within the team concept and of course to be a factor on the scoresheet as well.

That has not been the case this season as the Wild youth have emerged and the top lines when everyone is healthy provide no fit for Parise.

It is a tough situation for everyone involved but the end of Zach's days as a Wild player could very well be numbered.

Of course that contract and the years remaining tell a far different story....

We will have to wait and see how this plays out but the game has changed and the Wild roster is evolving.

Cam Talbot gets the nod for the final home game of the season, with the Wild still clinging to some sort of hope that they can move up to second place, but that seems like a remote chance at best.

They just want to take care of their business and get ready for either Colorado or Vegas however that shakes out. Vegas has the upper hand heading into tonight.

It's always Hockey Day in The State of Hockey!
