I’m looking for your picks and predictions on what Detroit is going to do this year with the draft, possible trades, coaching, etc. It’s been released that Yzerman is working with Blashill this week to figure out his future in the organization (his contract is expired). Whenever that update comes up put it up.

Below I’m going to post the predictions that have come in so far. The draft pick I’m hearing the most about from you is William Eklund. Sven stepped up with cosmic optimism to throw down Owen Power at 1st.

For trades, there have been a couple of big drops on this one. Big23questions thinks Detroit could swing for the fences to grab Eichel. The former 2nd overall has criticized the Sabres today for the mismanagement of his injury. The price would be steep, but he and Larkin both up the middle would be something to see. GreenArrow63 listed a scenario in which Yzerman could bring Stamkos to town (Stammer would have to sign off) with a first and second round pick in exchange for a 3rd plus one of Svechnikov/Cholowski/Smith. If either of those moves came to fruition the makeup of the team would shift in a big way!

Take a look, and give me your own thoughts and predictions if you haven’t. I’ll be keeping track and throwing blog love to anyone who nails it!
