Solomon had been with the Los Angeles Kings since 2007 and most recently held the role of executive vice president of hockey operations. According to a news release on the Ducks' website, Solomon will be in charge of “strategic budget planning in relation to the NHL's Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and the salary cap, contract and arbitration negotiation, and player evaluation.”
It’s interesting to see Solomon being brought on board as assistant general manager and a storyline to track will be general manager Bob Murray’s role with the Ducks, as his contract will be up next summer. The Ducks also promoted Martin Madden to be an assistant general manager last summer.

Do you believe Bob Murray will remain Anaheim's GM until his contract is up next year?
