The Islanders eliminated the Penguins last night behind the amazing goaltending of rookie sensation Ilya Sorokin. Sorokin won all 4 games in the series with an unreal .943 save percentage against the highly skilled Penguins...

Sorokin's numbers are amazing, but perhaps the most notable aspect to what makes him so good is the guy has an icy calmness that permeates through the locker room and in the player's in front of him. He does allow goals, but when he does he just appears to grow stronger..

Technically, I feel Sorokin has the best high game of any goalie I have ever seen. He not only has a great glove hand, his blocker is almost as quick as his glove...which is unheard of in this sport. I truly feel he has the best glove/blocker combo I've ever seen.

He will get tested by the Bruins for sure, but for now, Sorokin has to be considered one of the early contenders for playoff MVP.

The Penguins fell again in the opening round of the playoffs...This has brought on all sorts ideas as to how to "fix" the Penguins...We will be getting into all of them as summer goes by, but one solution that has more traction than I would have ever imagined is the rumor that Coach Sullivan may have coached his last game in Pittsburgh.

Tavares Skates!

This video has to make everyone feel a little bit more upbeat today...Tavares skating in the ice for the first time since his horrible accident a week ago.. If the Leafs get by the Canadiens you would have to believe Tavares will be back at some point in the next round...
