Hockey Buzz Mock Draft: Year 4 - teams and owners, current list

The Hockey Buzz mock draft driven by the readers and hopefully a few special guests is back for a fourth season. This approach is driven by what I wrote in year 1 with those who participated then having similar interest this season, “I thought we should have a mock draft with some of the commenters taking a team and making a pick. But not only making a pick but providing the rationale for the pick. If that selector wants to propose a trade as opposed to making a pick, then they have that right. But the key has to be what works for that team and not just the Rangers."

Below is the current status of the teams and respective drafters. As you will see, we are only about one-third of the way assigned, but hoping that with the holiday weekend over, I will get an uplift of interest from the readers and we can fill spots that way. Russ Cohen is willing to take a spot again and I can reach out to the team bloggers on the site, but would prefer - in most cases - to have a reader from the site draft. If ned be, we can conduct the draft iteratively, meaning add drafters as we move along, but would like to get as much set as possible in advance.

In terms of the draft. We can allow trading, but hope not to completely slow down the process or have deals completely out of whack with reality (and yes, I know about Larsson for Hall). But again, I am cognizant of the late date we are starting - which is on me, as got a late jump on this - so want to make sure we get through the full draft with the voting on each pick, as in year's past.

Open to your ideas and feedback.
