The New Jersey Devils announced that the Buffalo Sabres will be hosting a prospect round robin tournament in Buffalo, New York at LECOM Harborcenter. Teams include the Devils, Sabres, and Boston Bruins between September 17-19th. The Pittsburgh Penguins are traditionally in this tournament but decided to pull out. As a result, it will be a condensed three team schedule.
The Athletic’s Corey Pronman ranked the Sabres #1 and Devils #6 rankings on the teams’ future while the Bruins are at #29. It will be interesting to see how the Devils prospects stack up against the Sabres considering both teams have perennial NHL lottery participants in the past few seasons.
Although the team rosters will be announced later, who are you looking forward to seeing in this tournament?
