The New York Islanders have brought back almost all of the club that pushed Tampa Bay to Game 7 of the semi-final last season, but have added Zach Parise and on Saturday confirmed the long-rumored signing of 44-year-old Zdeno Chara to a one-year contract.

Chara is not the dominating force that he was in Ottawa and Boston, but played well in Washington last season and is more than capable of playing a bottom-pairing / penalty killing role for the Isles.....
