The San Jose Sharks dealt forward Dylan Gambrell to the Ottawa Senators last night, in exchange for a seventh-round pick in 2022.

Gambrell spent the majority of the last two seasons with the Sharks, but didn’t crack the roster this season. He’s 25 years old and last season, Gambrell scored five goals and 12 points in 49 NHL games. He's on a one-year contract, worth $1.1 million.

It’s too bad to see Gambrell’s tenure in San Jose end this way, as just a couple years ago, he was viewed as one of the organization’s better young forwards. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to make the impact he needed to with the Sharks and ended up falling down the depth chart.
