The Anaheim Ducks picked up their seventh win in a row last night, defeating the Vancouver Canucks 5-1.

The Ducks had a strong first period, drawing some penalties and outshooting the Canucks 13-7 in the frame. However, the Canucks would open the scoring when Nils Hoglander entered Anaheim’s end with speed and somehow put a wrist shot through Gibson. The Ducks would tie the game on a power play about five minutes later though, as Trevor Zegras took a pass from Hampus Lindholm and put a slapshot past Jaroslav Halak.

Zegras would then pick up yet another power play goal just a couple minutes into the second period, as he went to the net and roofed a loose puck over Halak, to give the Ducks a 2-1 lead. Then a little later, Zegras was involved once again, completing an excellent spin pass to Sonny Milano, who went to the backhand and scored from in-close to extend the lead.

It was a relatively even third period but the Ducks did a good job limiting chances. Adam Henrique would pick up an empty netter, then Sam Steel tapped in a pass from Nicolas Deslauriers for another late goal to secure a 5-1 win for the Ducks.

Trevor Zegras notably looked great in the win, picking up two goals and a pretty outstanding assist. Sonny Milano also continues to impress and is consistently great on the forecheck. Ryan Getzlaf also got to 999 points with his two assists.

Overall, it was another really solid game for the Ducks. Seemingly every player in the lineup was contributing and it made for an impressive win. The Ducks will now try to extend their winning streak to eight games, as they face the Washington Capitals at home on Tuesday.
