Finally, Sens fans can start looking forward to some NHL action again as we are now less than 72 hours away from Ottawa visiting Colorado on Monday night at 8:30 pm EST. When they drop the puck at altitude, Ottawa will have had 8 days between games but at least this lineup will resemble more of an NHL lineup.

Only two players who won't be available in Colorado, while they finish their 10-day quarantine are Nikita Zaitsev and Drake Batherson. The NHL did reschedule one of the three postponed games, Ottawa will visit NJ on Monday, Dec. 6th. When the Sens start the month of December, they will have 5 games now in 7 nights in which they will have a heck of a travel schedule - home to Vancouver, @Carolina, home to Colorado, @NJ, home to NYI.

Ottawa sent down Filip Gustavsson today! This coaching staff needs to stop telling the fans that they put the best line-up on the ice to win because it's clear they aren't doing so by sending down Gus today!

Add to Sens fans frustrations was this quote from DJ Smith regarding Lassi Thomson, "Lassi Thomson has played really well and showed really well, but if its better for his development to go back down, that's what we will do once we are back to full strength."
Smith is already telling the fanbase, we would rather have defensemen out there that clearly can't keep up with the pace of the NHL and aren't everyday NHL defensemen over players who have earned their spot in the line-up. It's becoming more and more clear, this coaching staff doesn't want the best players on the blueline, they didn't learn from their mistakes last year and for that this coaching staff needs to be held accountable by Sens GM Pierre Dorion!

If DJ is this delusional to think that Ottawa would've competed the way they did last week or even won a game had he had the likes of Matt Murray in goal over Gus, or JBrown/Mete/Holden in over Thomson/Heatherington/JBD, then he truly shouldn't be coaching at the NHL level!

This is how Ottawa could line-up come Monday night.

Tkachuk-Norris-Ennis
Stutzle-Paul-C.Brown
Formenton-Tierney-Shaw
Kelly-Gambrell-Watson

Chabot-Thomson
MDZ-Zub
Holden-Mete or JBrown

Forsberg-Murray
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With not much else to talk about until Monday's game, I thought I would see what Sens fans' feelings are when it comes to players who are RFA's and UFA's come the end of the season.

RFA's - Josh Norris, Alex Formenton, Dylan Gambrell, and Victor Mete
UFA's - Nick Paul, Nick Holden, Chris Tierney, Zach Sanford, Logan Shaw, Tyler Ennis, Josh Brown, and Anton Forsberg.

Do you get Josh Norris signed to a contract extension now? What should his new contract look like?
Do you get Nick Paul signed to a contract extension now? What should his new contract look like?
Do you try to get Zub's contract extended after the season as he will be a UFA the following year?

Which UFA's do you move by the NHL trade deadline?

I'm really curious to hear what Sens fans think?
Thanks for reading.
