Good to be back after having today off with no NHL games. We had another profitable night on Wednesday, but still miffed that Winnipeg failed us on the road in CLB. We have 13 games on Friday, with 5-afternoon games, so make sure you get your plays in on time! Game notes below for another big card. I will post my afternoon plays now and be back later with my evening plays. I will update goalie info throughout the day too!
1pm EST - The Rangers have won 6 of their last 7 games and are a great road team too. The Bruins seem to be playing better lately winning 4 of 5. This game is ABC TV nationally. I still don't trust the Bruins goaltending and the Rangers +140 is terrific! There's no way the Bruins should be -161 against a very balanced NYR team. Strong lean to the Rangers.
3:30pm EST - The Canes are playing their 6th in 10 nights on the road and have been on west coast time too as they arrived in Philly. In the last 2 games, the Canes lost late in the game and in OT, they are fading on this long roadie. Philly being a small dog at home represents the fact that Vegas thinks this is a bad spot for Carolina. Both teams have combined to go under the total in 22 of 35 games this season. Canes will play a tight defensive game, plus it's an afternoon game too, strong lean to the under. Plus small lean to Philly due to the long roadie for Carolina.
3:30pm EST - The Blues catch Chicago in a nice spot with the Hawks off a 4 game west coast roadie. The Blues had a bit of a letdown in Detroit after getting up for the Vegas at home. Strong lean to the Blues -125.
3:30pm EST - The Jets have lost 4 in a row and lost to the Wild in Minnesota earlier this year. WInnipeg has rival Calgary on deck Saturday and hasn't faired well on the road. Minnesota is off 3 game roadie as they start a 5 game homestand. The Wild -133 are very tempting here, small lean to Minny.
4pm EST - The Sens are playing their 3rd in 5 nights on the road and their road record has been awful, while the Ducks are very good at home. Ottawa did deserve better in the game in SJ and is a nice dog here at +155 as Gustavsson will start in goal. The Ducks have lost 3 in a row after winning 8 in a row so the juice is too high for me in this spot at -175. Small lean to the Sens +155.
**Samsonov and Bobrovsky confirmed goalies**
5pm EST - Florida isn't the same team on the road this year, while the Caps are terrific at home. Washington is banged up a bit at the forward position but I'll take the Caps -115 especially when the other team they are playing is -105, I love those types of spots! Panthers head back home for 4 more, so it's a weird spot with them playing 4 at home, a quick one-game road trip then home for 4 again.
**Saros and Blackwood confirmed goalies**
6pm EST - Both NJ and Nashville are struggling of late losing 4 of 5 games. Preds small fave at -145, but passing on this game.
**Montembeault and Tokarski confirmed goalies**
Montreal and Buffalo are both struggling having lost 8 of their last 10 games each. Another game I'm staying away from. Habs -120 on the road is odd, they are 1-8-1 while Buffalo(even) .500 at home.
**Grubauer only confirmed goalie so far**
Seattle at TB, you know Brian Elliott will be in goal for the Lightning, and TB only -187 tells you Vegas thinks they will play down to the level of their opponent. TB is rolling now and one of the hottest teams in the league, TB PL -1.5(+130) is the play here.
**Demko and Merlikins confirmed goalies**
Vancouver is reeling big time having lost 8 of their last 10 and are an absolute mess off the ice too. On the other hand, CLB is rolling and one of the surprise teams this year playing a very structured system under HC Larson. Jackets have won 7 of their last 10 and hit the road right after this game for a 4 game roadie. Lean to the Jackets -145.
**Jarry and Sorotkin confirmed goalies**
The Pens are playing their best hockey of the year winning 4 in a row and are finally healthy, while the NY Islanders are without 10 starters and struggling to find their identity having lost 7 in a row. Give me Pittsburgh -145, two teams going in different directions. Small lean to the under too as both teams go under the total a lot this season.
**Kuemper and Oettinger confirmed goalies**
The Avs goaltending has been an issue this year. Sure Colorado has won 6 in a row, but look at who they faced, they beat Seattle, Ottawa, Anaheim, SJ, and Vancouver twice. If you look at the wins by Dallas it's always against the better teams in the league, the Stars raise their level of play to the opposition and are much better at home. Strong lean to Dallas +115 as a small dog.
**Woll and Reimer confirmed goalies**
The Leafs look very good having won 12 of their last 14 while San Jose was lucky to beat Ottawa the other night and they caught Carolina in a nice spot before that. I am sure Reimer will get the start in the goal against his former team, but Toronto is hot, Leafs -156 small lean.

**Another prop to try is empty-net goals, you would be surprised how many are scored each night as coaches tend to pull the goalie earlier than if down 1 or 2 goals.

Teams in back-to-back consecutive road games are now 27-21-1 over/under the total.
Teams rested the night before when their opponent plays the prior night are 31-19.
East vs West games, East 61-59 over the Western Conference.

Teams playing 4 in 6 nights on the road, bet against in 4th game - 15-3
