Well, last night was one of those nights where I had a hunch on a few games and I should've listened to my theories and played them. Chris Dreiger played lights out against his former and got Seattle the win as they caught Florida off the Caps game. I had this weird feeling about the Flames off a break and the Jets desperate for a win, low and behold the Jets pulled it out, and went I played the Flames. I thought about it too much, won't do that again, I hope! I never saw the Habs pulling out a win but Pitt had a letdown after wanting to beat NYI and then the Pens started their backup goaltender It all set up well and I ignored the info. So as they say, you gotta learn from your mistakes and use it next time in your favour. We have a small 6 game card today with a couple of afternoon games. My analysis is below and I will post goalie info when I am able to throughout the day.
**Expected starters in goal Samsonov/Raanta**
1 pm EST - Carolina is off a very tough 6 game roadie and has barely had any time to recover returning Friday night and now playing an afternoon game. The Caps are a little banged up but are 6-2-2 on the road against a good home team. I will always play against a team off a long road the Canes had. Caps have won 8 of their last 10 games and a great dog at +131!
**Expected starts in goal Vasilevsky/Talbot**
2 pm EST - These are the type of games that Tampa's depth shows up as they are now without Point to go with Kucherov. These 2 teams just played each other a week ago in TB and the Lightning won in a shootout 5-4. TB has been solid on the road but Minny is solid at home too and they tend to get off to fast starts the last few games in smoking Winnipeg 7-1 and Dallas 7-2. The Wild are -115 while TB -105, every time this happens I take the fav at -115 and it has done very well this year especially when that fav is at home, strong lean to the Wild!
**Halak/Ullmark goalies confirmed**
The Canucks have lost 9 of their last 11 games and are playing their 3rd game in 5 nights on the road. This team is a mess both on and off the ice and isn't a good road team to boot. The Bruins have played well at home this season and have feasted on the weak teams while struggling against teams above .500. With the price at -238 for Boston, it will be a pass for me as anything can happen in a game like this when a team is desperate as we saw last night with Winnipeg.

The Flyers have lost 5 in a row against Boston, Florida, Carolina, and TB twice. That's a tough stretch for any team so this step down in class when they face the Devils could be what Philly needs to snap out of this funk! The Devils have lost 5 of their last 6 games and are a bigger fav than I expected at -141 but this has a lot to do with what the public thinks about the Flyers. Problem is, not many look at their schedule so I am leaning to Philly +120. Back later on this one.
**Reimer/Fleury goalies confirmed**
The Sharks hit the road for a 5 game roadie and it starts in Chicago tonight who are a much improved team under HC King. The Hawks have won 6 of their last 8 games and those two losses were against red hot Edmonton and Calgary on the road. Strong lean to the Hawks as a small fav -125.

The Leafs are red hot, going 13-2 in their last 15 games but this is their 3rd game in 5 nights on the road, 4th overall. The Ducks broke their 3 game losing streak against Ottawa on Friday after they had won 8 in a row. You know the Ducks will get up for this game and with Toronto having won the first 3 of his road trip, don't be surprised if they come out a little flat. Add to the fact that this line seems off to me, as the Leafs are -166, but the Ducks +150. I would've expected the Ducks to be in the +130 range, but Vegas knows the public will bite on a low fav price for the Leafs. I lean to the Ducks here and small lean to the under too.

Teams rested the night before when their opponent plays the prior night are 31-20.
