Earlier today, it was made known that additional players and staff have entered the NHL COVID protocol.

Previously, Ryan Johansen entered the protocol and missed the game against the NYR. Today it was announced that 6 players and 6 staff members have entered the protocol as well. Because the names were posted elsewhere, I will do so here but ordinarily I am not the one to want to publicize one's personal health, professional athlete or not.

The players who are currently in the protocol are : Ryan Johansen, Mikael Granlund, Matt Luff, Michael McCarron, Phillip Tomasino, and Ben Harpur. Staff members include Head Coach John Hynes, and Assistance Coaches Dan Lambert and Todd Richards, and Goalie Coach Ben Vanderklok. Two others on the "traveling party" were not disclosed.

As of now tomorrow's game against the Avs and Friday's game against Chicago are still on with Assistance Coach Dan Hint filling in as the Head Coach.

Other games have been postponed with COVID protocols being enhanced NHL-wide until at least January 7. Information changes quickly so there is still a lot of time for these details to evolve.
