Sorry folks for not being to get up a blog yesterday on the 3 games. I had many of you message looking for my picks, apologies. Work was insane for me so I was unable to get up my info. At least it happened for a small card as we got 13 games tonight! Looks like a lot of totals have dropped back down to 5.5 after a crazy run of almost every game at 6 or even 6.5 in some cases.
Last night we had all 3 favs win at home while going over the game total and the 1st period total. Thursday night we had totals go under 8-2-1 but rebounded with a ton of goals last night!
NASH/BOS 1pm EST - The Bruins have won 7 of 8 games since the break and are red hot but this will be their 9th game in less than 15 days with this afternoon tilt. The Preds got caught looking ahead while off the big Avs win 2 nights ago with Buffalo upsetting Nashville. NSH has won 5 of 8 since the break, very good road vs. a very good home team today. Lean to Boston -159 as they will be off until Tuesday so I expect them to leave it all on the ice.
VAN/CAR - 1pm EST - The Canucks had 8 of 9 with Boudreau, until a 10 day break and they now have lost both on the road and have had a bit of a letdown. Carolina had a "forget me" game in CLB the other night losing 6-0 and should rebound at home. Lean to Carolina but high juice at -208, strong lean to the over 5.5.
WASH/NYI - 2pm EST - The Isles played their first game in 12 days the other night beating NJ 3-2 while the Caps have lost 4 in a row and are without Ovechkin due to injury. WASH has been off since Monday, but I still lean to NYI who need wins badly to get back into the playoff race. NYI +115 at home, nice spot.
CLB/FL - 6pm EST - Merzlikins was back in goal for CLB for the first time in 5 games and posted a shutout over Carolina the other night. Florida is near unbeatable on home ice this year and heads out on the road for a 5 game roadie after this game. Panthers have gone over in 8 straight games and 9 of their past 10 but the total is 6.5 so a pass for me, Jackets sat rested last night while Florida played Dallas, plus FL -300 a pass for me, too high juice.
BUFF/DET - The Wings have lost 4 in a row and 6 of their last 7 games, now they get the Sabres in a home and home set. Buffalo snapped their 6 game losing streak in Nashville the other night and are without 4 goalies, so Aiden Hill should get the start with who knows the back up will be. Lean to Detroit -175.
NYR/PHI - The Rangers are returning to the east coast after 4 games in 7 nights in which they went 2-2. It wont be easy taking on a division rival while readjusting to the time zone. The Flyers have lost 6 in a row and starting to slowly get healthy and catch the Rangers in a good spot here +130 as a dog at home.
DAL/TB - Tampa is finally getting healthy getting Kucherov for the last 2 games and has looked very good. Dallas played against Florida last night while TB sat rested. The Stars have been awful on the road in the New Year, lean to TB -200 but strong lean to the over 5.5.
TOR/STL - The Blues have owned the Leafs recently but STL now has 7 players in covid protocol and have won 5 of 6 games since the break. Toronto has been off since Wed. night and lost 2 of the 3 on this roadie. Toronto -165 seems steep as STL is one of the best home teams in the league and a nice dog at home +138.
COL/AZ - This is the back end of a home and home, after COL won in a shootout last night 4-3 and now the Avs -350 not worth the price after being -635 favs last night. Vejmelka has been super for the Yotes in their last 4 games going 2-2 plus Avs have division rival Minny on deck Monday! AZ +275
ANA/CHI - The Hawks sat rested last night while the Ducks got crushed 7-3 in Minny. The Ducks have lost 6 of 8 since the break and look awful compared to how they played prior to Christmas. Chicago has won 3 in a row and now is slowly getting healthy after they got hit with covid and injuries during the 4 game losing streak. Strong lean to Chcago -138.
LA/SEA - The Kraken have lost 8 in a row and 11 of their last 12 games and now start a 6 game homestand where they have been much better than on the road! LA is off two huge wins at home over NYR and Pitt, while winning 5 of their last 7 games. Lean to LA -125.
OTT/EDM - The Oilers haven't played since Jan. 5th after losing 5 in a row. Ottawa has played 2 games in 25 days and won at Calgary the other night. Sens +185 is very tempting! Oilers not worth the price at -222. The total has crept to 6.5, leaning to the under with Murray looking solid last game out.
PITT/SJ - The Sharks lost at Pitt 8-5 2 weeks ago and at one point were down 5-0. Pitt is 2-2 on this 6 game west coast roadie and have Vegas on deck, so this could be a trap game. Lean to the Sharks here +140, nice spot at home!
Playing today - Back all day long at late at night with more plays as starting goalie info is confirmed.
