There is a growing feeling around the Flyers that Claude Giroux will likely be moving on. He has been a truly amazing captain for the Flyers. I would put him behind ONLY Bobby Clarke when it comes to all time Flyers captains. Claude LOVES putting on the Flyers jersey and he’s the kind of guy I want to see win a Cup to complete his amazing career. It’s not 100% that G leaves the Flyers, there has been no “official” talk even yet, but the signs are there, and some people I know who are very familiar with both sides are acting like its going to happen.
Where will the Flyers go next?
Oddly enough, one of the targets the Flyers really like is South Jersey’s own, and former BIG TIME Flyers fan, Johnny Gaudreau.
Ok, I can hear what you all are saying…”That’s not really surprising. Gaudreau has ALWAYS been rumored to come back to Philly” and yes, while that was true a few years ago, over the last few seasons that looked like it was NEVER going to happen. Giroux looked like a sure bet to stay and the salary cap in Philly looked to NEVER be able to fit Johnny Hockey into the plans. And also, Gaudreau had struggled and didn’t look like he was a fit for what ails thre Flyers…
Even at the start of this season I would have said there was a way better chance of Gaudreau ending up in NJ or playing for the Isles…even the Rangers…But so much has changed in the 20-21 season…The Flames are amazing, the FLyers are horrible. Gaudreau is having a career year with numbers that I don’t think anyone saw coming…
However, I do hear the Flames would like to extend Gaudreau…and that is something ELSE that I never thought would happen. It really looked like both sides would part as friends…I fully expected Gaudreau to be a big trade deadline piece…Now, how could the Flames even consider trading him…

I am hearing that Sutter REALLY REALLY wants Toffoli. If I could lay money on one player at the deadline and one team he is going to….Toffoli from Montreal to Calgary is about as much as of DEFINITE Lock as you will see.
