Free Falling Devils Lose Seven Straight |

The New Jersey Devils have lost their seventh straight game as they are spiraling towards the cellar of the NHL standings.
After losing 4-1 to the Ottawa Senators, the Devils will need to shake off this loss and play another basement dweller, Montreal Canadiens tonight at the Bell Centre.
In the calendar year of 2022, the Devils are 3-11-0 with a measly six points. They have only won seven games since their Nov. 20th game against the Tampa Bay Lightning when they were 8-5-3. Currently, New Jersey sits on the bottom of the Metropolitan Division. Barring any miracles, this never ending rebuild will be heading towards another top five lottery draft pick.
The answers are not just in the locker room as Devils GM Tom Fitzgerald said on Dec. 20th during an impromptu press conference. It is the entire Devils organization that needs to be overhauled. There is no direction, accountability, and just empty promises of a rosy future. Basically just kicking the can down the road as the results are getting worse every year.
To be fair, there have been injuries such as Dougie Hamilton, Miles Wood, Jonathan Bernier, and Mackenzie Blackwood this season. The Utica Comets have been the only bright spot for the Devils organization and head coach Kevin Dineen maybe the answer in the near future to help turn the Devils organization around on the ice without having to go through a major overhaul.
Tonight, we’ll see the same inconsistencies and mistakes from the Devils. Expect another loss tonight in Montreal.
Frustrating For Sure, Captain!
