The New York Islanders claimed back forward Austin Czarnik off waivers from the Seattle Kraken today.
Czarnik started the year with the Islanders, scoring two goals and five points in 11 games, before being claimed off waivers by the Kraken about a month ago. He played six games with the Kraken, registering two assists.
Given that Czarnik had been a pretty solid depth forward in his time with the Islanders, his return makes for a nice addition. It’s a minor move and Czarnik will be back in the AHL for the time being, but he'll provide extra organizational depth and could fill in if other forwards are shipped out at the deadline.
