Forsberg Unlikely To Be Traded; Preds Still Hope to Re-Sign

Per Elliotte Friedman, the Preds are unlikely to move Forsberg today by the deadline (the most anticipated result) and are also not expected to re-sign him today. It appears that both sides want it to happen, but this is a business and Forsberg has earned his upgrade in pay this year, while Poile also runs a tight ship. Guess we will be revisiting this topic in late June (hopefully we don't have to wait that long). Stay tuned! We love the drama anyways, right?

I'd anticipate the Preds to not make any further moves, unless another depth type move for the bottom defensive pairing. They already picked up Jeremy Lauzon last night. Can't say I know enough to form an opinion, but I do know the analytics at Evolving Hockey was not necessarily singing his high praises, but some times all one needs is a change in scenery so welcome to Nashville, Jeremy!

A more detailed analysis of what to expect for the final stretch following the deadline as the team prepares to make a playoff push to come later. This team has had its ups and downs but it's difficult to mess with things that have been, for the most part, producing results.

The best time of the year is quickly approaching!
