The Los Angeles Kings signed forward Blake Lizotte to a two-year contract extension today, and also completed two minor trades.
Lizotte’s extension is for two years and carries a $1.68 million cap hit. The 24-year-old has been a key depth center for the Kings this season, scoring eight goals and 17 points in 58 games, a pace of 11 goals and 24 points per 82 games.
The Kings also sent forward Brayden Burke to the Nashville Predators, in exchange for defenseman Frederic Allard. Allard is 24 years old and has scored a goal and five assists with the Milwaukee Admirals this season.
Defenseman Markus Phillips was also sent to the Winnipeg Jets, with the Kings getting Nelson Nogier in return. Nogier is a 25-year-old defenseman and scored three goals and six points in 25 games with the AHL’s Manitoba Moose this season.
