Because today is one of those rare NHL off days during this part of the year, the Preds made an announcement.

Per Adam Vingan of The Athletic, the team has re-signed D-man Jeremy Lauzon to a four year $8m contract.

I'll have a deep dive into this season and going forward once the Finals conclude, but, for now, I look forward to your comments on this update.

I know it'll likely put me in the minority, but I'm a fan of Lauzon and his potential. Happy to be proven right, but I'll also be the first to confess if proven wrong. Time will tell.
