Fleury Back In the Fold...Draft Unfolding |
Marc-Andre Fleury is back for 2 years with a full no movement clause.
The deal is $7M AAV $3.5M so very reasonable as Bill Guerin continues to massage the roster.
Naturally the question is what about Cam Talbot and how is he feeling heading into the final year of his 3- year deal. He was noticeably upset over his playoff snub, so we will have to see how this plays out.
With pick #19 acquired from LA for Kevin Fiala, the Wild selected Liam Ohgren, a Swedish winger with high ebd shot with a strong defensive game. Guerin likes what Ohgren brings to the Wild organizatiin projecting that he could be a factor in a couple seasons.
Pick #24 Danila Yurov a pure talented winger who fell to this pick possibly due to the Russia situation, but he is thw Wild's gain. Yurov is electric and projects to be a highlight maker coming to the XCEL Energy Center to bring the State of Hockey faithful to their feet.
When Guerin was asked about Kirill Kaprizov's situation in Russia, and Guerin made no bones about it, he had nothing to share. It is a serious concern, and one that Guerin is not going to jeopardize in a draft day interview.
