Jesper Bratt and the New Jersey Devils avoided arbitration. Bratt signed a one year deal worth $5.45M.
Jesper Bratt has a year to prove himself that last season’s breakout performance was not fluke when he had 26 goals and 47 assists with 73 points. Bratt, a sixth round pick in 2016, was the most consistent player on the Devils last season after he declared he wanted to be one of the core leaders on the team during training camp.
And he did just that.
Will Bratt have another repeat performance this upcoming season? Sure hope so!
Up Against The Salary Cap
This is something that hasn’t happen to the Devils in quite awhile because of the rebuild. As of now, the Devils are $3.27M under the cap with Miles Wood arbitration hearing coming up soon.
Will there be anymore player moves coming to the Devils after the Wood contract is settled? How much would you pay Miles Wood? Could Andreas Johnsson or Tomas Tatar be dealt before the season?
