New addition to the Wild prospect pool Brock Faber is the captain of Team USA and Jack Peart joins him on the US blue line. Carson Lambos and Ryan O'Rourke represent Canada and unfortunately Daemon Hunt is unable to play due to injury which would have give the Wild three defensemen on the Canadian roster.

Jesper Wallstedt is Sweden's top netminder and 2022 first round pick Liam Ohgren will also don the three crowns crest for the WJC.

2022 draft picks defenseman David Spacek will represent Czechia and 6th round selection Servac Petrovsky is on the Slovakia squad.

Danila Yurov and Marat Khusnutdinov would certainly have made the Team RUssia roster, but the IIHF has banned Russia from participating due to the conflict in Ukraine.

This should be a great way for us to hockey nuts to get our fix in what is typically the dullest month of the year for our beloved game.

The US gets started tonight with the latenoght game when they face off against Germany.

Lots to watch for especially for the future Wild prospects!
