So for a few months now the Islanders have been out front of the Kadri sweeps, with people close to the situation even saying the word is Lou Lamoriello has "figured it all out." And yet, no one close to the Isles has said "figuring it all out" is 100% linked to Kadri.

Now, another source today has informed me that the Isles are still too low on the AAV Kadri is seeking and has been working a side deal to try and acquire JT Miller and walk away from Kadri.

If that occurs I am hearing Kadri may have a backup plan...signing back with the Avalanche on a very short deal.

Working on what would go the Canucks way in the deal.
