Just a quick note here the Chicago Blackhawks have announced that defensemen Jake McCabe will be out 10-12 weeks after undergoing cervical spine surgery. This is a brutal blow for McCabe and hope he is able to recover 100%.

That now opens up a spot on the back end for some of the younger talent to get some ice time. Personally I hope Ian Mitchell gets a shot at this role but there are plenty of options.

Also announced is prospect Jaylen Luypen (2021 7th round pick) will miss 14-18 weeks after rotator cuff surgery.

Who do you want to see get some time in place of McCabe?
