It is officially time for some (preseason) hockey! The St. Louis Blues are in town for the first game of the preseason. According to Coach Richardson, we are going to see the primary group of players in the line-up tonight with Mrazek and Stalock splitting time in the net.

Taking a look at the lines during the morning skate, I am very interested to see how those top two forward lines play together. I think Johnson is a bit of a stretch on that top line but I do think Raddysh could be an interesting fit as I see him as that Hagel type player who can move up and down the line up where he is needed.

What really gets me excited for this first game is the defensive group. I am looking forward to watching how Vlasic, Korchinski, and Del Mastro do out there. Vlasic has a little bit more motivation as he is up for a spot on the main roster, were Korchinski and Del Mastro are more or less out there for the experience and getting a taste of NHL hockey.

One other quick note regarding Jake McCabe, he was speaking to the media and when talking about his recovery time from spinal surgery, that 10-12 week time frame was from when he had the surgery, which was six weeks ago. He is hoping that he will be good to go in about four weeks, so expect him back in the line-up much sooner than originally anticipated.
