As I wrote a few days ago, and confirmed by TSN’s Darren Dreger tonight, the talk around Jakob Chychrun is intensifying.

Dreger says the teams with interest, among others are, Ottawa, Toronto, Edmonton, LA, St Louis, and Columbus… Two days ago I wrote the Toronto, Montréal, Buffalo, Florida,St. Louis blues, the Rangers and the Islanders, the Bruins and even possibly the Flyers had interest…

So yes, it is safe to say there is interest out there…

Why now?

Well, the simple answer is that the Yotes have lowered the asking price after Chychrun’s less than stellar 2021-22 season…. And there is fear that his value could truly fall if he struggles again.

This is timed with some well placed quotes from Jakob over last few weeks saying he wants to play for a contender…
