The Columbus Blue Jackets are just not it this season. They get blanked by the Florida Panthers, 4-0.
Brandon Montour opened the scoring with his sixth goal of the season halfway into the first period. Gustav Forsling and Sam Reinhart had the helpers.
Early in the second period, Matthew Tkachuk extended the Panthers’ lead with his 14th of the season; Reinhart and Alex Barkov had the assists.
The final Florida goal on a goalie came from Barkov for his sixth this year. Forsling and Tkachuk got the assists.
Reinhart got an empty net goal for his eighth of the campaign.
Sergei Bobrovsky stopped all 22 shots.
Elvis Merzlikins allowed 3 goals on 19 shots for a 0.880 save percentage.
