Been a mighty long while since this segment has come back into my Rolodex. With the All Star Break and the lost season, let’s take notice of the guys in the Columbus system that are being developed in the other leagues around the world. Included is the stats of the players from around the league (credit to Hockey DB); and my rankings of the top prospects in the system and in the upcoming draft.
OHL
F Luca Del Bel Belluz — 50 points in 43 games split between the Missassgua Steelheads and the SARNIA Sting of the OHL.
G Nolan Lalonde — 26 games; 0.859 save percentage; 4.24GAA
QMJHL
F Jordan Dumais — 87 points in 42 games with Halifax
F James Malatesta — 49 points in 45 games with Halifax
LIGA
F Mikkael Pyyhita — 4 points in 6 games with LIGA Champions league; 12 points in 37 games with TPS.
WHL
D Denton Mateychuk — 49 points in 45 games with Moose Jaw
D Stanislav Svozil — 49 points in 35 games with Regina; 8 points in 7 games at WJC as Captain of Czechia; silver medalist.
F Martin Rysavy has 16 points in 29 games with the Moose Jaw warriors of the WHL.
NCAA
