The hat-trick highlight Saturday night by Jordan Kyrou has led the St. Louis Blues over the Columbus Blur Jackets by the final score of 5-2.
Brandon Saad, the former Columbus Blue Jacket, and my player to watch, recorded his first goal in the month of March for his 17th of the regular season. Linemates Sammy Blais and Brayden Schenn had the helpers before the halfway mark of the first period.
Less than two minutes later, Patrik Laine evened the contest on the power play. His extra man goal would count as his 21st of the campaign. Johnny Gaudreau and Nick Blankenburg had the assists.
Jordan Kyrou got his first of the evening and 27th of the year. Robert Thomas and Blais had the assists.
Blais concluded his first period performance with the eventual game winner and would be his fourth of the season. Saad and Schenn had the apples.
The next goal came in the third, being Kyrou's second of the game and 28th this year. Alex Toropchenko had the lone assist.
Boone Jenner joined Patrik Laine in the 20 goal club. Kent Johnson and Gaudreau had the final assists on the night for Columbus.
Kyrou's hatty was an empty net goal for his 29th of the campaign. Thomas and Pavel Buchnevich had the assists.
Brandon Saad my player to watch as he is the former CBJ, and was my gut right. He is now at 225 career goals. He finally gets to double digits in the assist department this season.
