Gavin Bayreuther was a Canaan, New Hampshire native is a pending unrestricted free agent with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Bayruether is an undrafted defenseman out of St. Lawerence University, nearing a point per game as a defender.

Gavin Bayreuther was signed as a free agent by the Dallas Stars just after the 2017 trade deadline. He played most of the time with the Texas Stars, but did play 19 games with Dallas.

He signed with the Columbus Blue Jackets in the shortened COVID bubble year.

After his one season with Columbus, he was claimed by the Seattle Kraken in the expansion draft.

Columbus signed him back after Seattle decided to not sign him. In 103 career games, Bayreuther has 23 points (2 goals, 21 assists).

He has been a solid depth piece over his years, but is best served as the seventh or eighth man on the roster, or the top pair on the minors.

This concludes the unrestricted free agents player profiles

Next is the restricted free agents.

Side note, congratulations to Patrik Laine for finally being cleared for the 23-24 season, and good luck in the Worlds with Team Finland.
