2) It is expected the NHL regular season schedule for 2023-24, including the Flyers' schedule, will be released later today.

3) Over on PhiladelphiaFlyers.com, Brian Smith and I have written 20 player profiles for the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. My annual mock draft was completed yesterday for the site. There are also features on the Flyers history when picking seventh overall and a look at Flyers' late first-round picks of the last 25 years.

4) Today in Flyers History: June 27

1996: The Flyers signed rugged winger Scott Daniels as an unrestricted free agent.

2013: The Flyers exercised salary cap compliance (amnesty) buyouts on the contracts of Danny Briere and Ilya Bryzgalov.

2015: The Flyers traded the contract of the unofficially retired Chris Pronger, along with defenseman Nicklas Grossmann, to the Arizona Coyotes. In return, the Flyers received forward Sam Gagner anad a 2016 fourth-round Draft pick. The Flyers later swapped to pick to the New York Islanders for a 2017 fourth round pick. The latter pick was subsequently part of the three-picks-for-one trade the F;yers made with the Coyotes in order to move up in the second round and select Isaac Ratcliffe.
