What’s your tape job?

Ok, this is just a fun one. When I used to skate, do pickup games, no two players had the exact same ritual. For Detroit, Holmstrom would sand off the finish at the bottom of his blade which helped with tipping. Some players go all the way to the end and use scissors to round out the end.

I’m fascinated by the grip. Fedorov used to make diamond shapes on his grips. Some have switched to the prefab grips. The coating on the sticks keep changing, and I’ve watched Ovi use a belt sander on his stick shaft to give it a “broken in” feeling. His toe curve is bizarre as well.
