The Columbus Blue Jackets announced yesterday that they have signed forward Nate Schnarr to a professional tryout (PTO).
Schnarr, 24, joins Columbus after splitting last season between the Montreal Canadiens and Los Angeles Kings. In 45 games last season in the AHL, he had 9 points (3 goals, 6 assists).
Schnarr was part of the Taylor Hall trade that landed him in Arizona. He was then moved from New Jersey to Montreal for Andrew Hammond. At this past deadline, he was dealt for Frederic Allard.
Fully expect him to land a spot with the Monsters, but it does welcome depth forward competition internally.
