Carter Hart will miss the game due to illness. Samuel Ersson will get the start, backed up by Cal Petersen.

Preview: Flyers @ Ducks

In the second game of a four-game road trip, the Philadelphia Flyers (5-7-1) will take on the Anaheim Ducks (7-5-0) on Friday evening. Game time at the Honda Center is 10:00 p.m. ET.

The Flyers are 2-6-1 in their last nine games. The team is coming off a humiliating 2-1 loss on Tuesday to a San Jose Sharks team that entered the game with a record of 0-11-1, a goal differential of minus-43, a combined 12 goals scored for the season, and a penalty kill that was allowing goals at a rate of one opposing power play goal for every three PK opportunities. The Flyers mustered only a goal by Joel Farabee (6th of the season) and went 0-for-5 on the power play.

The Ducks took a six-game winning streak into a game on Tuesday against the Pittsburgh Penguins. However, Anaheim was shut out, 2-0, and the winning streak came to an end.

Carter Hart will make his return to the Flyers lineup after missing three games with a lower-back issue sustained in last Wednesday's game against the Buffalo Sabres. Morgan Frost, a healthy scratch in San Jose, will re-enter the lineup. Most likely, Scott Laughton will return to the fourth line center spot and Ryan Poehling will exit the lineup.

An in-depth preview will be available today on PhiladelphiaFlyers. See "Five Things" on the official site when it posts. Projected lineups (subject to change) are below.
