Cats vs Leafs, Kane Chooses DET |

Florida’s three-game Canadian swing will continue tonight when they take on the 10-6-3 Toronto Maple Leafs.
The Cats started out on the right foot last night after downing the Ottawa Senators by a score of 5-0. It was nice to see the offense erupt after being dormant for a couple games. Also…how wild did that game get?
It looked like something out of Slashot. Haha.
Reinhart continued his tear after burying two goals in Ottawa, while Bob added a shutout to his resume. If you’re keeping track, Reinhart is now tied with Brock Boeser and Nakita Kucherov for most goals so far (15). And Bob now has 40 career shutouts. Oh, almost forgot…Barky tallied something like three assists and now has 400 on his career.
It was a solid game all around, and we’re hoping that Carrie’s over to tonight — especially since it’s always tough with back-to-backs.
Per
Litterbox Cats:
“
Toronto is coming off a brief, disappointing road trip that saw them lose 4-3 in overtime to the Chicago Blackhawks and 3-2 in regulation to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Expected by many to win the division, the Maple Leafs are currently mired in fifth place in the Atlantic. Mitch Marner leads the team in assists (15) and scoring with 27 points. Austin Matthews has scored 14 goals in 19 games.“
No doubt about that the Leafs will be hungry for a win, especially with how they lost to the Blackhawks — blowing the lead and losing in OT.
I expect Stolarz in net tonight, and to see some tired Cats, but if they can contain Marner and Matthews, while getting their offense churning, they should take home the W.
Kane News
As you have all seen by now, Patrick Kane has chosen to sign with the Detroit Red Wings and keep his NHL career in the Original Six realm. I think I saw it’s a one-year deal just north of $2M.
I was hoping he’d sign with the Cats, but what can you do. We’ll see how things shake out for him in Robocop’s city.
Kind of excited to see him reunited with DeBrincat…
