If I had a quarter for every time someone in hockey has told me that Lindy Ruff was the smartest hockey mind they had ever been around I’d be able to live out the years comfortably. There is no doubt of Ruff’s skills, and like the player he once was, there is ZERO doubt of his toughness. Lindy played the game and played it extremely hard.. He doesn’t know the meaning of surrender.
But the expectations on this Devil’s team are way above where they currently sit…4 points outside a wildcard spot, having now lost three straight…. They went from expectations that healthy they could win it all, to a team in dire need of a scapegoat.
And per sources, including one EXTREMELY tied in with the Devis, Lindy appears set to become that excuse for a team heading in the wrong direction…
