Boone Jenner will be the only Blue Jacket eligible to join one of four fantasy teams in the draft - Team Matthews (Morgan Rilley, Justin Bieber), Team McDavid (Leon Drasatil, Will Arnett), Team Hughes (Jack and Quinn, Michael Buble), Team MacKinnon (Cale Makar, Tate McRae).
The Blue Jackets have had a very quiet week; however, the Western Canadian road-trip has begun.
This week, they get road matchups with the Oilers; Flames; Canucks; and Kraken, not having a home game until Feb. 10. It’ll be the first meeting the Jackets have with the Oilers; and final meetings for the others in the Pacific Northwest.
Elvis and New Jersey interest is being reported by David Pagnotta of the Fourth Period. There has been interest but Merzlikins needs to turn things around before he is ever moved out; else, he is a buyout candidate. Would not be great for either side, the club to be on the hook for extra year of this deal, and for the player to lose his earned money.
