The Columbus Blue Jackets lose Kent Johnson for the season with a torn labrum suffered against the New York Rangers. After starting the season, unfairly, in the minors, Johnson has clawed into the middle six by the time the injury came. Johnson was drafted 5th overall in 2021. KJ had 16 points in 42 games.
This is a tough loss for a player that was looking to likely move up the lineup if players were to be unloaded from the roster.
