Hello, hockeybuzzards and welcome to the 2024 offseason outlook of the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Columbus had an early offseason and with some time away, it got the mind to think of the plan.
The Union Blue have a vacant general manager position. The search is ongoing and has been since the dismissal of Kekalainen in February.
The latest will be discussed with the final decision as it comes out.
The Blue Jackets’ rights and wrongs of the season, which are many, will come out with a breakdown style report card, from ownership down.
Team Profiles will make a return.
Player trades and signings will be rotating.
Draft selections will be the day off.
World Championship action for current players.
Updated draft picks for the remaining teams.
Projected outlook is a possibility.
What say you, what would you like this summer besides this outline?
Post Game Round 2, Game 1 v Belleville
The Cleveland Monsters’ bye-week was a negative impact as the Belleville Senators stole game one by the final score of 2-1 in regulation time.
All three goals scored occurred in the second period.
Four minutes into the middle frame, Egor Solokov opened the scoring on the power play with his first of the postseason. Josh Currie and Stephen Halliday had the helpers. The too many men call can’t be happening in the postseason. It’s poor discipline.
Angus Crookshank had the eventual game winner for his first in the playoffs. Tyler Kleven and Garrett Pilon got the assists on the final road goal.
Josh Dunne got the Rocket (fka the Q) going with his first of the postseason on the powerplay via the Crookshank boarding infraction with Trey Fix-Wolansky and Stanislav Svozil assisting on the play.
Mats Soogard had 31 saves on 32 shots against. Great night for him.
Jet Greaves had 24 saves on 26 shots faced.
CLE THREE STARS OF THE GAME
1. Josh Dunne — PPG (1)
2. Trey Fix-Wolansky- assist (1)
3. Stanislav Svozil — assist (1)
