Going to be a quick blog today.

Game 4…the decider of this series for the Florida Panthers, in my opinion.

Win tonight and even the series at 2-2. Lose and go down 3-1, a spot that seems tough to come back from against this New York team led by Shesterkin.

Sunday’s loss was a serious gut-punch. Florida being down 4-2, only to battle back and make it 4-4, felt like the game was theirs. I mean, we asked for the offense to come alive, and it did.

It seemed like a done deal with the pressure they were pouring on New York in the third/OT. Felt like it was only a matter of time before they got the game winner. However, it was a false hope.

That’s how those outcomes typically go. The team on their heels somehow get a break and end up winning.

This is exactly what happened with New York. With the Rangers on the ropes, a faceoff in the Panthers’ zone led to a relatively harmless shot from the point, which was redirected by Wennberg for the game winner.

The worst part was that Wennberg was wide open, free to stand in front of Bob. I’m not sure how he was missed. He just floated in behind the defense and won the game…

While it’s not an elimination game, I think you empty the tank tonight.

They managed to get four by Shesterkin in Game 3, but it wasn’t enough. Have to swarm the net relentlessly tonight.

We saw that vintage Panthers attack/offense come to life in the third period of Game 3. Now we need to see it for the whole 60 minutes.

Outside of #31, credit to New York for weathering the Florida storm, and also picking/capitalizing on their spots. They lead the series for a reason.

And so the Cats are down, but not out. Dig deep. They have the talent and one stellar goaltender in Bob. We know Shesterkin can be beat, they need to manufacture those elusive goals.

Time to fire up the Panther war machine. It’s now or never in my opinion.
