Interesting update - PHR has Detroit listed as one of the teams interested in Max Pacioretty. Between this and the PTO with Watson it looks like Detroit wants to add some grit. I may be more interested in “Patches”, let me know your thoughts.

Redmond Savage will be proudly wearing the “C” for Michigan State University this year. Apologies for being late to this party, as it was announced 4 days ago via the X post above.

Savage, The 5’11” left shot centerman has had an interesting post draft career. A USNDP player before being drafted by Detroit, Savage played for Miami of Ohio for 2 seasons (along with 2 appearances at the WJC U20) before transferring to MSU for last year’s season where he collected 27 points in 38 games (10g, 17a). MSU saw success in the big 10 with Wings prospect Trey Augustine in net and will look toward having another successful season.

Congrats to Savage for the promotion, as this stands to be a potentially big season for the prospect.
